In the world of luxury design, the difference between a good product and a masterpiece lies in the smallest of margins. Precision, patience, and a deep respect for materials are the hallmarks of a master craftsman. To provide our designers with the best possible environment for their work, we have completed a total renovation of our primary creative space. Inspired by the minimalist and highly functional aesthetics of the East, our new facility follows a Japanese style philosophy. This accessory design studio is now a sanctuary of focus, where every craft element is managed with Perfect Craft Detail clarity, allowing the detail of our work to reach new heights of excellence.
The “Zen” philosophy of the Japanese style is built on the concept of Ma, or negative space. In our new studio, we have removed the visual clutter that often plagues creative environments. The renovation introduced clean, horizontal lines and a neutral palette of soft greys and light woods. This creates a “Quiet Mind” environment, which is essential for the perfect execution of intricate jewelry and leather accessory work. When the studio is physically balanced, the artist can focus entirely on the craft at hand. By prioritizing this Japanese aesthetic, we have created a space where the detail of the product is the only thing that matters.
Lighting is the most critical technical component of the accessory design process. To achieve a perfect finish, a designer needs to see the true texture and color of the material without shadows. Our renovation replaced traditional overhead lights with a series of high-CRI “Paper-Lantern” inspired LEDs. These provide a soft, diffused glow that mimics the natural light of a Japanese afternoon. Beneath this gentle light, our team uses specialized magnifying lamps for detail work, ensuring that every stitch and every stone setting is flawless. This style of lighting reduces eye strain and allows the studio team to maintain their craft standards over long hours of production.
